Course objectives
The main objective of the course is to teach students basic rules of web design. At the end of the course, students should be able to do analysis of websites and find mistakes in their drafts. They should be able to create their own websites according to the standards of accessibility and usability. The course is aimed at practical work. We will be solving the real problems that we encounter during the lessons. A significant part of the course will be devoted to SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
Syllabus
  • Topics: 1) Introduction 2) How users perceive the web 3) Introduction to the issue of websites 4) Webdesign rules 5) Creating a new website - practicaly (sketching, wireframes ...) 6) Information architecture 7) Usability, user testing 8) Web technologies 9) Content management systems 10) Social networks Students will present team projects at the end of the semester.
