- Course objectives
- Qualifying Examination is final control examination after first year of study. It is prerequisites to subject of third and fourth semester. There are at least two committee members present at this examination.
Students should prove ability to:
. define basic concepts and theories
. describe information science domain
. understand and interpret literature in czech and foreign language
. apply Mahara software to present outcomes of work and study
. evaluate information architecture of website
. employ basic methods of information retrieval - Syllabus
- Run of exam: 1. Information science domain and literature - presentation topics of interest, preferences in choice of information professions, literature review and other study activities.
- 2. Web studies - literature review, evaluation of information architecture of website, application of particular internet tool.
