- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to learn the basic rules of translations from Bulgarian to Czech, new lexical items from the areas of linguistics, literature, politics, history, law, economy, natural sciences etc. At the end of the course students will - be able to demonstrate the knowledge of Bulgarian. - have a broader and more solid understanding of key aspects of translating. - have a broader and more solid understanding of key aspects of comparative study of Slavonic languages - be familiar with Slavonic grammar.
- Syllabus
- Every class will have this structure: 1. short presentation of a translation problem (based on a project from a translatology study); 2. team work on a Bulgarian text; 3. reading of the translated text with comments.
