Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to characterize auxiliary historical sciences; to describe the development of Latin letters; to read and comment on texts, written sources, official documents and to convert dates based on Roman and Christian calendars to the contemporary dates.

1. Regular attendance and participation in the course (min. 75%). 2. Written test divided into two parts:
a) examination of knowledge acquired from the seminars – transcription of texts, converting dates;
b) theoretical questions from auxiliary historical sciences
