Course objectives
An overview of destructive and non-destructive methods of archaeological investigation and research, their characteristics, use and advantageous application, based on the situation in the field; basic measuring operations, levelling, drawing excavated blocks and individual archaeological artefacts in plane view, etc.
Syllabus
  • Overview of destructive and undestructive methods of archaeological field work, methodology and goals of surveys, mapping, excavation and post-excavation procedures. Use of classical and digital technology. Speciphics of field work in Aegean.
