- Course objectives
- The set of lectures and seminars deals with theory and practice of work with qualitative data. It is not only a systematic introduction to various methodological approaches. Proceedings of qualitative analysis and interpretation will be rather discussed from a perspective of a scholar treating a concrete qualitative project. A special focus is on interconnection of theoretical issues and analytical skills. The course will be based on using actual qualitative data sets and qualitative analysis programme ATLAS, its mastering is one of the course aims.

- 2. Quality of research. Seminar: making primary documents, creating project
- 3. Data analyze in case studies. Seminar: Quotations, codes.
- 4. Data analyze in grounded theory. Seminar: Difficult codes procedures .
- 5. Data analyze in biographic research. Seminar: Edit memos.

- The course is taught as both lectures and seminars. Group work is common as well as essay-writing. Students are encouraged to ask questions about things they do not understand and comment on things they disagree with
