Prerequisites
The prerequisite of the seminar is the successful conclusion of all the linguistic disciplines and the empiric experience with different types of texts 1.linguistic text 2: medicine texts and reports 3: economic texts 4. Diplomatic texts; 5. Administrative text; 6. Journalistic text and so on.

Course objectives
The students should be able to find differences between various types of the texts from different stylistic points of view, and to find out stylistic valor typical for each type of analyzed text. (subjectivity x objectivity, syntactic constructions and ellipses, terminology, punctuation, administrative language and formulations, diplomatic language and expression, journalist’s language). The test, at the end of the semester, consists in the translation of five types of texts. The attention is paid to the usage of correct stylistic expression and composition, typical syntactic constructions en each text, etc. )
Syllabus
  • 1. stylistic a textual linguistic; 2. the basic division of the texts types (according to the function linguistic); 3. analyse of the selected texts . journalistic, economic, diplmatic, judge; 4. passive and active translation of the selected texts.

Teaching methods
Theoretical part: reading of the linguistic texts Practical part:analyzation ot texts, translation and interpretation of the selectes texts.
Assessment methods
The written exam includes the active and passive translation of the texts that were analyzed during the semester. The student has to receive minimally 75% of the maximum of the points. Only that students that had a presentation in the class and that were only twice absent will be allowed to write the test.
