- Course objectives
- Conception of social philosophy and philosophy of history from the second half of the 19th century until present: Utopian socialism, Marxism, Positivism (Comte, Mill, Spencer), irrationalism (Nietzsche, Spengler), structuralism, theorie of post-industrial society, Fukuyama versus Huntington. Main objective of the course is to introduce students to theories studied in lecture, to situate concrete works in the social and historical context of their formation, and to understand their variants in contemporary conceptions of society.

- 4. Irrationalism (Nietzsche a Spengler)
- 5. Structuralist conception of history and a man
- 6. Understanding of history, man, and society in the ecological philosophy
- 7. History approached in the theory of post-industrial society (Bell, Toffler)
- 8. Liberalism in the history and today (Hayek)
- 9. Possible schemes of historical development and the restoration of belief in progress (Fukuyama)
- Students will also discuss the systematic terms and questions, such as: revolution and evolution, nature and man, etc.
