- Course objectives
- Following the course JAP102 Japanese language I the students are acquiring basic abilities to understand simple spoken utterances in Japanese language as presented by a native speaker. They implant grammatical structures learned so far into the context of coherent texts and thus get acquainted with the high contextuality of the Japanese language. Students also develop the vocabulary and knowledge of basic communication strategies in Japanese.

- Teaching methods
- Listening to audio materials with supplementary explanation of the teacher. The focus is on the ability to identify key information in the spoken discourse. Speed of the discourse is at the basic level, coloquial and fatic expressions are suppressed.

- Listening test. Active presence in the classes is also a part of the evaluation.
