Course objectives
The aim of the course is to help students to formulate their issues and arguments properly, structure their writing, and use the sources.
At the end of the course students should be able to:
formulate the issue and an aim of his text clearly;
arrange the structure of his text;
review the literature;
quote the sources properly.

Teaching methods
Seminar tasks, seminar discussions, homeworks and library works (document analyses and short writings).
Assessment methods
Polemical essay, home- and library work tasks.
Final evaluation has the form of colloquim. The condition of granting colloquium to a student is acceptance of each of the above mentioned outcomes. Polemical essay has 5 000 to 10 000 characters and consists of clear formulation of an aim, clear review of a study on selected topic, formulation of principal polemical issues, clear arguments together with their support by sources, precise conclusion, and abstract. All homeworks must be submitted on time and if demanded used in seminar discussions.
