Course objectives
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with specific archiving tasks and with the network of specialized archives in the Czech Republic. Individual meetings are led by practising archivists who represent selected institutions. Students will find out about various specialized archives, their origins and special features of their collections.
Syllabus

Teaching methods
Seminars consist of presentations by various externalists, which will be followed by a discussion on the topic in question. In addition, students produce an independent seminar paper, which will be the subject of a debate at the end of the seminar.
Assessment methods
Passing the course is dependent upon active participation in the seminar, writing a seminar paper and a discussion of this paper.
