Course objectives
The aim of the course is to understand the theater and the socio-political context of the period.
Syllabus
  • 1. Insight into the socio-political context of the time. 2. The situation in Czechoslovak culture and theater. 3. Period of 1953-1956. 4. EXPO 1958 in Brussels and cultural significance of the event. 5. 5. "Golden Sixties" and communist totalitarianism. 6. Drama. 7. Movement theaters of small forms.
