- Course objectives
- The course will focus on the presentation of selected legal institutions and branches, and the development of legal culture, focussing on the the 19th and 20th centuries.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon completing the course, students:
- will have an idea of the state of legal science and teaching during this period
- will acquire an overview of the historical development of specific legal branches in both public and private law
- will become familiar with the history of legal publishing and historical legal collections
- improve their ability to work with archival material related to the law - Syllabus
- Legal science and law studies;
- Law-making and law enforcement;
- Case law and legal collections;
- The "big themes" of modern legal history (revolution, codification, land reform);
