Course objectives
The aim of the course is to give the students an opportunity to train a number of different presentation formats that will be useful for their studies. The seminars will provide a secure environment for everybody to learn from the class interaction, from the formative feedback and from the videos of their own presentations. The course will content on the critical aspect of presenting and introduce tips as well as further material to learn from.
Learning outcomes
Students are going to be able to present in different formats and settings with the focus on academia. Besides the presentation skills, they will master visual aids preparation and also writing abstracts and summaries.

Teaching methods
The course is designed as a set of practical seminars / workshops. After a thourough self-reflection regarding the presentation skills the students are going to try a variety of presentation formats, such as an elevator pitch, a pecha-kucha presentation, a poster presentation or a conference paper.
The course will be intense in presenting and students will finish the course with a portfolio of recordings of their presentations. A rather big part of the seminars will be devoted to feedback from the peers and from the teacher on both the language and presentation aspects of the students´ performace.
Assessment methods
Students will work on a portfolio of presentations and written assignments and they will deliver a final presentation at a "mock conference".
