Course objectives
Work with concrete texts - linguistic analysis, analysis of content and translation (administrative and jounalist texts, those of art theory, philospophy, etc.
Syllabus
  • Lecture: Introduction to professional translation. Seminar: Application of acquired knowledge on authentic texts
  • The course is divided into several autonomous parts, every teacher being responsible for one of them. An active participation of students in all parts is obligatory.

Teaching methods
Lecture: Introduction to professional translation. Seminar: Application of acquired knowledge on authentic texts
Assessment methods
Written exam (translation with commentary). Composed of several parts, according to the structure of the course during the semester. Conditions for admission to the exam include: at least 85% attendance of lessons and timely submission of homeworks.
