Course objectives
The course is aimed at questions which in a fundamental manner affected the development of the medieval Western civilisation. The main focus is on the current state of research, the methods of investigating particular questions, and the opportunities given by considerable number of sources and modern methods concerning Medieval Studies. It offers a general orientation in terminology, the primary and secondary sources, and certain issues of the Medieval Studies.
