Course objectives
The course provides a survey of the subject of study and goals of clinical psychology of child, its leading exponents, history, "classical" topics and current trends including introduction to children psychotherapy and assessment. The yourse contains lectures and seminars - mainly case study seminars.

  • History of children's clinical psychology

  • Profession of clinical psychologist

  • Psychopathology of children

  • Heredity

  • Health psychology

  • Psychosomatic psychology

  • Specific learning and behavioral disorders

  • Speech disorders

  • Mental retardation and Pervasive developmental disorder

  • Emotional and behavioral disorders in childhood and growing

  • Eating and sleep disorders in childhood

  • Addictions and other specific topics of children´s clinical psychology

Teaching methods
Interactive lectures and seminars, based on practice of children´s clinical psychologist. Seminars would be realized by discussion or as excursions to special institutions, which offered clinical interventions to children and adolescents.
Assessment methods
The subject ends by test (credit) or verbal examination which results from study materials, lectures and seminars.
