Prerequisites
The course Child Clinical Psychology focuses on the clinical and psychological topics of childhood and adolescence from a very broad perspective.
The aim is to provide a comprehensive, general overview of the field with the aim of extending the theoretical basis of the course through introducing practical clinical experience in the form of clinical psychological case studies.
Lectures are followed by seminars in which case studies are discussed.

Course objectives
The course Child Clinical Psychology focuses on the clinical and psychological topics of childhood and adolescence from a very broad perspective.

Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students are able to:
- Understand and explain key theories, concepts, approaches, and procedures from the field of psychopathology and clinical psychology of children;
- Incorporate knowledge of clinical psychological practice with children and adolescents (obtained from case histories or own experience, and other topics discussed in the seminars) in thinking about relevant issues and problems;
- Distinguish between general issues and special considerations related to the psychopathology of children and adolescents.

Teaching methods
The lesson is based on interactive lectures that draw on the practice of a child clinical psychologist. Lectures are supplemented by seminars, which are realized in the form of case studies from children's clinical practice.
Assessment methods
The course consists of lectures and seminars with case studies. The course ends with a written exam. At least 80% attendance at compulsory seminars is assumed, the knowledge of students will be continuously checked by short tests at the beginning of each seminar. In case of failure in one test, it is enough for the student to repeat the test, in case of failure in multiple tests the student will be tested on all topics. The student will be admitted to the written exam on completion of the attendance test and successfully passed the tests.
