The students should be able to understand, translate and comment on the work: Sallustius. Catilinae coniuratio.
Syllabus
  • Reading of Sallust's Catilinae Coniuratio.
  • Archaisms in Sallust's language.
  • Syntactic analysis of the text.
  • Historical background of the work.

Reading Sallust is not a course regularly taught during the semester. Independent reading of Sallust's Catilinae Coniuratio.
Assessment methods
The knowledge of Sallust's work is tested by translating and commenting on the text assigned. Oral and written examination. Exam dates according to individual e-mail appointment.
