- Course objectives
- This course provides a detailed insight into the historic development of former Livonia from the 16th century up to the rise of independent states of Latvia and Estonia in the year 1918.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course students should be able to understand and explain the historical development of Estonia, Livonia and Curonia after the Teutonic Order secularisation and creation of Latvian and Estonian nations and national states in the triangle of German, Swedish and Russian powers and cultures.

Creation of nations of Latvians and Estonians 6. In the centre of the triangle of German, Swedish and Russian powers and cultures.
