Course objectives
The course includes both theoretical background and practical skills relating to work with language corpora. Linguistic problem solving and corpora using.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to: - employ language corpora by dealing with the sophisticated linguistic problems; - create complex queries in cql; - make generalizations above corpus data.
Syllabus
  • 1. Bonito - search engine, the full access to the Czech National Corpus - CNC (agreement and registration). 2. Available Corpora of CNC , how to search in corpora(lemma, part of speech) tagging, processing of the found data. 3. The problem of the authomatical tagging and how to get over it. 4. Grammar and corpora. 5. Linguistic problem solving and corpora using.
