- Course objectives
- In this seminar, we are integrating experience from IT and didactics of foreign languages. The aim of this seminar is to introduce new possibilities for teaching via m-learning or e-learning systems. Developing of several exercises that are suitable for computer reading is included in this seminar.
- Learning outcomes
- Students will be able to:
- develop teaching materials suitable for electronic use;
- introduce and describe current trends for materials development;
- implement new knowledge into his or her teaching practice;
- evaluate benefits of current teaching materials. - Syllabus
- 1. Introduction.
- 2. E-learning and m-learning systems.
- 3. Parameters of electronic materials.
- 4. Authenticity and censorship.
- 5. Language levels and descriptors.
- 6. Mother tongue influence.
- 7. Building up exercises for vocabulary development.
- 8. Building up exercises for grammatical awareness.
- 9. Building up exercises for reading competence.
- 10. Presentation and evaluation of exercises done by active participants of this seminar.
