Course objectives
To write a paper and submit it to a peer reviewed journal.
Learning outcomes
Students will be able to:
- write an academic paper;
- comply with the formal requirements laid down by the editorial board;
- rework the paper according to the reviewers’ requirements.
Syllabus
  • - First draft of the paper
  • - Feed-back from supervisor
  • - Second version of manuscript
  • - Submission of the paper to the journal editors
  • - Acceptance of the remarks of reviewers
  • - Final version of the paper
Literature
  • The literature will be specific to the topic of the paper.
  • Literatura dle zaměření konkrétního odborného textu.
Teaching methods
Reading academic papers, writing, discussion.
Assessment methods
Evaluation will be based on the accepted paper:
5 credits will be awarded for a paper in Czech, 10 credits for a paper in English. 5 credits will be awarded for a paper published in a Czech peer reviewed journal, 10 credits for a paper published in a foreign peer reviewed journal.
