Prerequisites
In order to be admitted to the Master's state examination in Ancient History, the student must
a) succesfully complete Bachelor's state examination;
b) gain credits prescribed by his/her study plan;
c) submit Master’s thesis, if he/she is a student of major or single-study (completus) study plan.

Course objectives
The aim of the Master's state examination is to prove whether a student have reached learning outcomes of the Master's programme Ancient History as prescribed by his/her study plan.
Learning outcomes
A successful student should be able to pursue well a job, where a Master's degree in humanities is required.
The most successful graduates should be capable of handing in a satisfactory dissertation project and of succeeding in the doctoral study program Ancient History (or a related field).
