Course objectives
The seminar has two parts. The second installment will start from 1961, i.e. from the year of the first film festival of children cinema in Gottwaldov. Two groups of students will meet up at the seminars: Bc students will get knowledge of film production history in Zlín, give a talk on specific period of the history, and will work with sources and secondary literature. MA students will adopt basic knowledge of oral history research, analysis of film culture and film production. This model will make the seminar more approachable and attractive for both groups.
Learning outcomes
Students will get knowledge of the Zlín film production history, of methodology and practice in archival research and oral history, as well as experiences with software for qualitative data analysis.
