Course objectives
Study of Croatian language, new lexical items, grammar rules. At the end of the course students should be able to speak fluently and express emotions as well as opinions.
Learning outcomes
Absolvent will be able to communicate in Croatian at a level correspondent to 144 hours of language course.
Syllabus
  • Extending the vocabulary and the knowledge of grammar from course JSB_SLAVh1. Inflection, verbal regimen, verbal aspect, perfect gerund. Students understand different texts and styles. Translation from Czech to Croatian, phrases, analysis of short stories, conversation.

Teaching methods
Croatian: Seminars, 1½ hours per week, active participation. Home preparation. Conversacion and the grammar exercises.
Assessment methods
Regular attendance (maximum of 3 absences allowed), homework and home preparation required. The students must hand in a series of essays (until 15 May), seven pages of translation from Croatian to Czech (until 21 May) and to pass a final test.
