Course objectives
The aim of this subject is to provide a deep knowledge about Catalan normative grammar. Students will have to acquire the necessary knowledge in order to apply the normative grammar in the production and correction of texts. We will focus on the lexical an structural aspects of the language. At the same time, students will get into contact with all the ressources that professionals can use in order to solve questions regarding Catalan grammar and Catalan orthographical normative.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the subject, students will have to be able to apply Catalan normative grammar in any field.

  • 1. Resources we have for solving doubts about the Catalan language (review and update) 2. Adaptation of written texts: registers, dialectal variation 3. Spelling 3.1. Accentuation and discharge issues 3.2. Apostrofation and articles: toponyms, anthroponyms 3.3. The compound words and hyphenation 4. Morphosyntax 4.1. Concordance 4.2. The possessives 4.3.
