Course objectives
The aim of the course is to train students how to give a conference presentation in Chinese and to write a conference paper in Chinese. During the course, the students prepare the conference presentation and the final essay through the help of the teacher and the assistants and then present it at a conference.

Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student is able to:
- write a conference paper in Chinese
- present it at an academic conference
Syllabus
  • The course does not have a syllabus. The students meet the assistants individually online every week (preferably during the class time), to discuss how to improve their writing. In the first half of the semester, the students need to finish a 5-page essay progressively.

Weekly individial consultations.
Assessment methods
Fulfillment of the tasks - handing in a 5-page essay in Chinese (by 15 May 2021) and presenting it at a conference (on 28 May 2021).

Weekly meeting with the assistant. Up to two absences tolerated.
