Course objectives
The course is taught in Modern Greek. Conversation is focused on current topics from Greek newspapers and magazines concerning Greek literature, history and culture on the whole. The main aim of the course is the improvement of independent oral and writing practice in Modern Greek language (CEFR B2).
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students will be able to:
actively communicate in Modern Greek; produce a text concerning discussed topics; understand difficult Modern Greek texts which deal with the discussed topics.

  • Readings from Greek magazines, newspapers and literary works.
  • Conversation based on the readings.
  • Independent oral and writing practice in Modern Greek language.
