Course objectives
This course aims to approach contemporary French and French-speaking theater. Attention will be paid in particular to the evolution of this son-in-law during the twentieth century and to the analysis of dramatic texts from the end of the twentieth and the beginning of the twenty-first century.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to:
- identify and summarize important features of contemporary French-written theater. ;
- write an essay (dissertation) analyzing and commenting on the basic aesthetic principles of the work of authors based on the analysis of works from compulsory reading;
- critically evaluate and analyze one selected work in the form of a paper in a seminar.

  • 2. evolution of theater in the twentieth century;
  • 3. aesthetic principles of contemporary theater;
  • 4. analysis of the works;
  • 5. conclusions, evaluation.
