- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is practical and theoretical familiarization of students with the current possibilities of digital games and their role in various ecosystems. Understanding the digitization of physical materials and their subsequent use in practice. Students will acquire sophisticated work methods and gain a deeper insight into the subject, through exercise. The acquired skills are a prerequisite for enhancing the creative work with this medium. The course combines theoretical and practical lessons with a focus on the digital game medium and the adjacent field of application. In the practical part, course focuses on understanding the relation between stylization and authenticity in creating their own visual style in the chosen genre or creative intent. It introduces students to the digitization of physical materials, textures creation, and monitors current applied digital painting and collage. Through partial training topics, overlays occur for board or card games, or for installation / escape games.
