- The student should have passed Practical Chinese for Mgr. program I
- The course is offered exclusively to the students of the Chinese Department of Masaryk University.
- Exceptions could be made if an Erasmus student has Chinese Studies as their major at their home university and if the student can present documented proof. Language proficiency certificates (HSK/TOCFL) are NOT accepted. - Course Enrolment Limitations

- Course objectives
- To help students familiarize themselves with contents already instructed in Practical Chinese for Mgr. program 2. Enrollment is strongly recommended.
- Learning outcomes
- After completion of the course, students should be able to:
【Listening】
- understand paragraph-length utterances pertaining to a wide range of topics relating to daily and academic life.
【Speaking】
- sustain a conversation in coherent paragraphs;
- handle a wide range of tasks;
- narrate, describe, compare and contrast.
【Reading】
- identify a moderate number of character components and high-frequency characters;
- identify key facts and details in descriptive material in daily life;
- get the gist of semi-authentic and simple authentic Chinese texts on known topics.
【Writing】
- take notes in some detail; write simple letters, brief synopses, summaries and biographical data related to work and school scenarios;
- write an essay of 500-800 characters, comprising at least 3 paragraphs, dealing with topics covered by the textbook. - Syllabus
- This course uses HSK 5 Part 1, following the order of the textbook's lessons.
