Prerequisites
NOW( KSCA654 Chinese for Mgr. program IV )
- The student should have passed Practical Chinese for Mgr. program 1,2,3
- The course is offered exclusively to the students of the Chinese Department of Masaryk University.
- Exceptions could be made if an Erasmus student has Chinese Studies as their major at their home university and if the student can present documented proof. Language proficiency certificates (HSK/TOCFL) are NOT accepted.

Course objectives
To help students familiarize themselves with contents already instructed in Practical Chinese for Mgr. program 2. Enrollment is strongly recommended.
Learning outcomes
After completion of the course, students should be able to:
【Listening】
- understand paragraph-length utterances pertaining to a wide range of topics relating to daily and academic life.
【Speaking】
- sustain a conversation in coherent paragraphs;
- handle a wide range of tasks;
- narrate, describe, compare and contrast.
【Reading】
- identify a moderate number of character components and high-frequency characters;
- identify key facts and details in descriptive material in daily life;
- get the gist of semi-authentic and simple authentic Chinese texts on known topics.
【Writing】
- take notes in some detail; write simple letters, brief synopses, summaries and biographical data related to work and school scenarios;
- write an essay of 800-1200 characters, comprising at least 4-5 paragraphs, dealing with topics covered by the textbook.

  • This course uses Integrated HSK 6 Part 2, following the order of the textbook's lessons.
