- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to deepen the understanding of basic narratological concepts through the analysis of specific texts; students will gain the ability to clearly communicate and present their ideas in spoken and written form.
- Learning outcomes
- The student will be well versed in basic narratological categories and will acquire practical experience in working with them; after completing the seminar they will be able to explain these categories, put them into context and use them in their own text analysis.

- 1.Theory of narration: introduction, basic definitions 2.Naratology as an interdisciplinary field: development of the field, its changes and overlap with other fields 3.Text and its aesthetic dimension: aesthetic function, norm and value 4. Levels of literary communication: text , author, recipient 5. Internal structure of the narrative: event, plot, narration, representation 6. Character 7. Time and space 8. Narrator 9. Focalization and perspective

- Teaching methods
- Teaching is aimed at students having enough room for their own activity and being able to check whether they have a good understanding of the subject; the teacher introduces the topic of the lesson, students work together on assigned exercises or tasks, the result of which they then present to the others.
