- The interpretation of poetry; German authors from Prague, F. Kafka, F. Werfel, R. M. Rilke; the politicizing of literature in the Weimar Republic; B. Brecht, great novels by T. Mann, A. Döblin, H. H. Jahnn; historical novel, Austrian literature between 1918-1938, R. Musil, H. Broch, E. Canetti, H. v. Doderer, German authors in exile, literature in the Third Reich, authors from he Sudetenland.

- Lectures and seminar. The seminar is based on methods of presentation, analysis and synthesis of knowledge. It also uses collective work, in-class discussions and individual work of students
