- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is twofold: first, the students will became familiar with selected topics of Modern Greek life and culture, and sedond, they will improve their language skills by working with autentic texts and acoustic materials.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course the student will:
- deeper understand some aspects of the Greek culture and everyday life; - be able to succesfully work with autentic sources in Greek. - Syllabus
- Greek music and its texts: examples of folk and pop music, translation and analysis of lyrics.
- Folklore: important spring and summer feasts and traditions.
- Pop culture: crime literature, comics, cluture of the social media.
- Culture of the everyday life in Greek cities.
- Culture of the everyday life in Greek countryside.

- The course has a form of a seminar.

- Class participation (50 %), oral exame (50 %).
