Course objectives
The aim of the Research Seminar is to increase students' research competencies. Students participate in the research projects of the staff of the Department of Information Studies and Librarianship. It is a practically focused course whose content is dependent on the current offer of research topics. Student chooses the topic and mentor independently according to the published offer. The student is mentored in the course during the whole semester, when he or she independently processes the assigned tasks within the research process.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to:
- Define the research goal and evaluate the proven research design;
- Properly set up and implement the collection of research data;
- Process quantitative or qualitative research data;
- Analyze and interpret research results;
- Create an peer reviewed article presenting research results.
Syllabus
  • Part of the course is at least two research meetings of the research team. Additionally, consultations are conducted with the research manager as required by the student.
