Course objectives
The aim of the course is to provide students with the basic knowledge of Italian (A1-A2 CEFR).
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to:
- communicate in the most common situations of everyday life, tell the story in the past tense;
- ask questions (hobbies, languages, work, study, lessons, etc.) and simply answer them;
- read and write a short text (present, past and future tense);
- apply the acquired competencies in the final exam: use basic grammar rules acquired during the seminar I and II, describe a picture and conduct a conversation on a simple topic.
Syllabus
  • To describe and tell the story in the past. Imperfetto, trapassato prossimo
  • Sport. Pronoun "che"
  • Projects and plans. Future simple and composite tense.
  • Feast days. Direct and indirect pronouns..
  • Shopping. Combinate pronouns.
  • Weather forecast. Condicional simple and composite.
  • Health and Culture. Imperative.
  • Travell and holidays. Italian modal verbs.

Teaching methods
Seminar and additional excercises.
E-learning. Attendance and participation in the course (min. 75%) is required.
Assessment methods
Written and oral examination aimed at testing the essential language skills according to the A1 level of European reference frame. Student has to consign 3 short essays and 4 traductions during the semester.
