- Course objectives
- The course introduces students to the literary phenomenon of Polish reportage, focusing consistently on texts reflecting the space of post-communist countries in Central, Eastern and South-East Europe and the changes taking place there over the last thirty years. Special attention will be paid to the problem of space in the literary work.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course students will be able to:
- explain theoretical background of genres reportage, travelogue and selected types of novel,
- use the concepts and procedures of geopoetics and imagology,
- to classify selected authors of reportages (in the context of contemporary Polish literature),
- describe common and different features in the representation of space in the analyzed texts,
- think critically about the texts. - Syllabus

- In-class discussion and acitivities, compulsory home reading of selected texts (in Polish or in Czech/Slovak translation).
