- Course objectives
- This course introduces the basics of academic publishing. The seminar discussions introduce doctoral students to the review and editorial process in humanities and social science journals. The students prepare a publication project immediately related to their dissertation, choose an appropriate journal in cooperation with their supervisors, and present their project during the seminars.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
- understand the basics of the review and editorial processes;
- choose the appropriate journal for their article in progress;
- justify their decision about the target journal;
- explain the state of the art and the theoretical background of their publication project;
- react to questions concerning their publication project.

- Students devise and present their publication project. The persuasiveness of the presentation and participation in the discussion constitutes 100 percent of the evaluation criteria.
