Course objectives
The aim of the course is to prepare art history graduates for teaching practice in secondary vocational schools and higher vocational schools of art and grammar schools.
Following Didactics of Art I, students are able to formulate pedagogical objectives and construct a teaching unit based on the didactic transformation of the curriculum. Graduates can find further employment in the teaching departments of galleries, as animators and art mediators. The course emphasizes the specificity of the individual artistic fields and offers various means of introducing them to students in terms of the nature of the individual fields.
Part of the course is to introduce students to institutions involved in art mediation through gallery animation. In addition, trainees learn to develop students' IT competencies through teaching art history in contact and online synchronous and online asynchronous learning, as well as using IT resources in remote and contact learning.
