- Prerequisite for participation in the course: knowledge of theory relating to participles as required at the B.A. level, skills in using the Czech National Corpus.

- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to revise and enlarge students' knowledge of the structure of participles, including also standard research analyses carried out by the teacher.
- Learning outcomes
- The student will be able to use the knowledge of modern linguistic theories: (a) to analyse the internal structure of Czech participles; (b) to analyse the syntactic structure of Czech participle phrases
- Syllabus
- 1. Verbs, 2. Participles, 3. Adjectives, 4. Preterite forms, 5. Passive forms.
- Literature
- Literatura tohoto předmětu je shodná s literaturou požadovanou ke zkoušce z předmětu Současný č. jazyk - morfologie (bakalářské studium).
- Teaching methods
- The first part of the course is a lecture, the second part in an independent research work carried out by the students. Students will be directly involved in work on particular problems relating to participles.
