Course objectives
The aim of the course is to write a thesis (approx. 20,000 characters) consisting of a critical analysis of literature, an art historical description and an interpretation of a selected work of art or architecture.

Syllabus
  • Critical analysis of literature, art historical description and interpretation of a selected work of art or architecture, which the student has chosen in the fall semester and which he/she knows from autopsies, not from reproductions. The resulting work has the character of an informed compilation written on the basis of study of the work from autopsy and thanks to the critical analysis of the literature.

Teaching methods
Monologic lecture, individual work of the student and continuous consultations.
Assessment methods
An essay. It will be evaluated for its content and mastery of heuristics, as well as linguistic correctness (spelling and other linguistic errors), formal editing, compliance with citation standards, references and bibliography.
