- Course objectives
- The course Management of Information Instituions is focused on issues of management, managerial skills, people management and processes in enterprises, organizations and institutions providing information services. The form of teaching is focused on the discussion and reflection of texts for studying. Students will be acquainted with the environment in which the organization is set up and with the basics of its management.
- Learning outcomes
- Student will be able to:
- define and explain the basic concepts and historical development of management;
- place the organization in an environment that student can describe and define using SLEPT and SWOT;
- describe the basic phases and processes of stragical management;
- use analytical tools to describe the organization in terms of critical elements;
- orientate in human resources and human resource management;
- apply the principles of information service design to organization processes. - Syllabus
- Introductory lesson, ending conditions, evaluation criteria, consultation for combined students;
- context, organization surroundings;
- organizational structure, typology, creation and changes;
- strategic management - introduction to the problem;
- strategic management - specific tools for strategy creation;
- human resources and human resource management in the overall context of the organization, the role of the manager;
- human resources and human resources management from the employee's point of view;
- project management;
- information services design;
- organizational performance indicators;
- presentations of combined students and sharing concrete examples of good and bad practice.
