Course objectives
The main objectives of the course are the following:
analyse various types of museums;
aplication of theory in museums;
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, a student will be able to:
- understand to functioning of museums in practice;
- compare specifics of several museum institutions´ activities reflecting the differences in institution profile, conditions for work, equipment etc.
Syllabus
  • Study trip is about 2-4 days long;
  • Student visit some museums, monuments and nature parks in selected region mainly of the Czech Republic;
  • The aim is to acquaintance students with various types of museums, their exhibitions, storages etc.

Teacher's information
The knowledge acquired in the theoretical training will be practically verified during the practical training. More detailed information can be found in the curriculum in IS MU. The number of participants is limited by the capacity of the bus. In the case of a larger number of applicants, the order in which the applicants have applied is decisive.

Exact costs are always announced at the beginning of the semester.

Application for the field trip is made using the form provided to interested students in the Centre of Museology.
