- Course objectives
- The main goal of this course is to familiarize students with the treatment of errors in the learning of a foreign language. They will also get to know the different types of errors that occur when learning Spanish as a foreign language.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the semester, the students will be able to:
- orient themselves in the different linguistic currents that have investigated errors in second language acquisition;
- know the criteria that are needed to detect and classify errors of different types;
- evaluate and correct errors of different types;
- recognize the main characteristics of errors of different types;
- correct oral and written texts of learners of Spanish. - Syllabus
- Topic 1: Research currents on errors in Applied Linguistics. Topic 2: Errors in foreign language learning. Topic 3: Error evaluation and correction. Topic 4: Pronunciation errors. Topic 5: Lexical errors. Topic 6: Morphosyntactic errors. Topic 7: Spelling and punctuation errors.
