Course objectives
The course is intended to help students transfer theoretical knowledge of archival sciences and auxiliary historical sciences into practical skills in the implementation of basic tasks of archivists on specific, independently solved tasks.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to:
- identify the types of registration units;
- prepare professional independent searches from archival material;
- create organizational schemata according to a valid methodology or the structure of the relevant registry;
- create proposals for new archival relics of cultural heritage according to a valid methodology.
Syllabus
  • 1. Principles of archival research and its practical implementation. 2. Practical determination of record units. 3. Distinguishing between recording and storage units in practice. 4. Formation of archival location. 5. Measurement of archival materials. 6. Variants of organizational schemes.
