Course objectives
Examine contemporary trends of dramaturgy in Performing Arts.
Learning outcomes
Students will learn the crucial trends in contemporary arts and performing arts, thinking why they are became a trends, how indivdually and criticaly thinking about those trends and also how to indentificate and searching for new trends.
Teaching methods
Reading of selected texts and their analysis (English, Czech), research method, video demonstrations, attendance of selected performances, collective and group discussion, etc.
Assessment methods
Active participation in discussions (based on reading texts, background research, and analysis of recordings).
- 1-2 times "short paper" as a preface to a discussion about the text, performance, chosen phenomena and formulation of questions.
- Essay about the chosen performing arts production (analysis based on concrete trend).
