- Course objectives
- 1) Introduction to the key historical stages and contexts of Czechoslovak animation
2) Introduce Howard Becker's concept of "art worlds" and its application to the environment of animated film
3) develop skills in the sociology of film
4) to acquire the ability to better critically reflect on the cultural transfer in Czechoslovak animated film of 1939-1992 - Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
describe the historical, cultural and political contexts that shaped the development of Czechoslovak animation between 1939-1992
critically evaluate the processes of cultural transfer in the field of animation
