Course objectives
This course aims to further consolidate language skills at B2 level of the CEFR.
Learning outcomes
Output level of language according to CEFR: B2
At the end of this course, students should be able to: understand long audio(visual) documents in spoken French; engage and maintain a conversation in standard French on a wide range of topics; debate in a nuanced way on a range of topics of general interest; write formal texts of different nature (argumentative, descriptive, critical).
Syllabus
  • Writing: how to write a narrative text; how to write a descriptive text; how to write an argumentative text according to specific methodological requirements; how to express appreciation of a work of art.

Teaching methods
Seminar-style teaching with active participation and a focus on student interaction.
Assessment methods
Active participation and attendance are required (maximum 2 absences allowed). Regular homework in preparation for the seminar. Final written examination.
